Amazing hotel with helpful staff, good wifi, and 24-hour reception. They resolved my technical issues on my first stay, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend enjoying the onsen! I'm coming back for Christmas.

Things I wish I knew before I tried it

The ambiance is mesmerizing, with traditional tatami and futon bedding offering an authentic stay. The onsen experience was refreshing, a perfect way to unwind after sightseeing. Breakfast is unique, but definitely worth trying! Located just steps from local transport, it made exploring seamless. Staff are helpful and speak English fluently, enhancing the experience.

Loved the amazing indoor pool!

We spent a night here and the indoor pool was a hit! The space was so calming and the lighting made it feel fancy. The location is fab, super close to train lines and great food spots. Just wish the breakfast was better, ended up grabbing some food outside instead.

While the room showed some signs of age, it didn't affect our stay—it still had all we needed. However, accessing public transportation wasn't as straightforward as expected. the nearby subway line didn't connect to the major tourist spots, forcing us to rely on buses or transfers. Additionally, for group travelers, the luggage storage felt a bit vulnerable, left out in the open without any security measures.

I had a wonderful time staying at this modern ryokan, just a few steps from the Nishiki Market and less than a 15-minute walk from Nijo Castle, making it super easy to explore Kyoto's beautiful sights. the cozy atmosphere and helpful staff truly made my experience feel special.
